On February 9th Reverend Lorna led a wonderful Collective Worship. She told the story of Jesus in the desert. Every child was invited to lay a cross on the hall floor and these individual crosses were made into one large cross. Every child was involved and engaged in such a lovely activity!
On Monday 4 December, children attended the Christingle Service in St Andrew’s Church. They had worked very hard on putting together a meaningful and very accomplished service. Several parents commented that they had thoroughly enjoyed it and that this was “the best ever”!
Children came to school wearing spots and gave donations in support of Children in Need. The School Council organised a decorated cookie competition, with a sports theme. Altogether, we raised an impressive £194 (including contributions from Potterhanworth Pre School).
We are absolutely delighted to have won the ASA School Swimming Charter Primary School of the Year award for 2017!
This is an outstanding achievement for our small school.

Y5 pupils enjoyed two days of Bikeability Training – ensuring that they are fully aware of how to cycle safely.
We are absolutely thrilled to have won the “Active Primary School of the Year” award at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2017.

On 2 October, parents joined the children in Church for our annual Harvest celebration. Harvest gifts were donated to the Alive! Church’s ‘Restore’ project, which provides help for people in need.
Ofsted visited us for a one-day inspection on 12 September. We are delighted to retain our “good” rating – Ofsted recognised that Governors care deeply about the school and are very proud of the pupils who attend.
Year 4/5 enjoyed a 3 day residential visit to Rand Farm. As well as learning to care for the animals, they visited a local dairy and learned how to make cheese. Everyone had a fantastic time.
