There are parents’ consultation evenings during terms 2 and 4.
A full written report is sent to parents at the end of the summer term. This report informs parents of their child’s progress, achievement and effort, and there is an opportunity to discuss this in term 6.
If there is anything that you wish to discuss about your child, in the first instance please speak to the class teacher.
There may be an occasion when the weather is so severe, e.g. very heavy snowfall, that for the health and safety of pupils and staff, the school will be closed. This is likely to be a very rare event. When exceptionally severe weather conditions are forecast for the whole authority and the Police recommend that only essential journeys should be made, the Head and the Chair of Governors may make the decision to close the school.
The school will communicate with the parents to advise if the school is to be closed.
For updates and information regarding the closure and any further closure days, parents will be asked to:
When the school is closed, work will be set via our usual communication channels (currently Parentmail).
Details of topics are sent out every term in our curriculum newsletter. If you have experience/expertise in a particular subject related to the topic, you are welcome to come into school and share information with the children.
If you would like to help the school, please contact the Head Teacher
When organising school trips or visits which enrich the curriculum and educational experience of the children, the school invites parents to contribute to the cost of the trip.
All contributions are voluntary. If we do not receive sufficient voluntary contributions, we may need to cancel a trip.
Insurance companies offer personal accident cover for children 24 hours per day. If you wish to take out cover for your child, you are advised to consult your insurance broker.
