Sports Funding

Since 2013, the government has provided schools with PE and Sport Premium funding to help improve the quality of sport and physical activity. This funding is ring-fenced, meaning it must be used specifically to enhance PE and sporting opportunities for all pupils.

At Potterhanworth Church of England Primary School, we’ve carefully planned how to use this funding to make a real difference for our children – and what a year it’s been! From learning circus skills and trying their hand at archery, to taking part in a rounders festival and a swimming gala, our pupils have had some amazing opportunities to get active, build confidence, and have fun through sport.

We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved so far and have even more exciting plans for next year.
