We are delighted to announce that following external validation we have received confirmation that the school has achieved the Sainsbury’s School Games Silver Kitemark award. The School Games Kitemark is a government-led awards scheme, implemented by the Youth Sports Trust, to reward schools for their commitment to the provision of PE, school sport and competition across the school.
To achieve the award many pre-requisites had to be fulfilled. These included: children’s participation and provision of PE/ Games, the number of competitive opportunities both within and outside school that are offered, pupils involvement in the planning and organisation of sporting events and the training of staff – to name but a few. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this!
